06-03-24 Morgan County COPrays Prayer Call Notes

On the call: DJ Barrett, Lyn Deal, and Donna Reyman

Praise the Lord! A reading of the Word from Psalm 139:145-152 AMP.

I cried with all my heart; answer me, O Lord! I will observe Your statutes, I cried to You; save me and I will keep Your testimonies. I rise before dawn and cry for help; I wait for Your Word. My eyes anticipate the night watches and I awake before the call of the watchman, that I may meditate on Your Word. Hear my voice according to Your lovingkindness; O Lord, renew and refresh me according to Your ordinances. Those who follow after wickedness approach; They are far from Your law. You are near, O Lord, and all Your commandments are truth. Of old I have known from Your testimonies that You have founded them forever. “

·        “Search me, God, and know my heart. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.” We ask You to cleanse us, Lord, as with David in his Psalm 139. Lord, we cry for repentance to flow in Morgan County, Colorado, and the nation. As with Daniel in Daniel 9, let us walk in the path You have shown us in Your Word.

·        Lord, we pray for righteous leaders in the upcoming election. We ask there would be honest elections.

·        Our county, state, and nation are shaking! Lord, be with our current leaders in Morgan County. May they call to You for answers to difficult situations. We declare that every level of government in Morgan County and the state of Colorado now returns to the Lord Jehovah and to the Truth proclaimed in HIS Word. You are a God of justice. Amos 5:24 “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream.”

·        Lord, we thank You for Rising Up and the other food banks and organizations helping the hungry and homeless in Morgan County. Thank You for the generosity of the churches, organizations, and people in Morgan County. Be with Pam and Denise at Rising Up and others, giving them discernment as to how to manage the situations that arise. Protect them all, Lord.

·        We pray for the First Responders in Morgan County. Teach believing First Responders to prayerfully appropriate the power of Your Holy Spirit for the wisdom, guidance, and strength they need every minute of every day. Thank You, Lord, for the First Responders in Morgan County.

Special prayers:

·        Prayers for Kathy Zwetzig, our prayer partner on this call, who has broken her arm. Lord, give wisdom to her doctor as to the proper treatment. If surgery, Lord, direct the surgeon’s hands. We ask for quick healing for Kathy.

·        We pray for the two men (and others involved) who were victims in the tragic accident at the Sugar Factory in Ft. Morgan. Lord, be with the families. Jesus, bring Your peace to them during this challenging time. Bring others to help these families with the physical and spiritual needs of those affected. Oh God, we call to You during this difficult time!

·        Lord, we pray for the woman involved in the vandalism of the Ft. Morgan cemetery on Memorial Day. May the families whose plots were affected have mercy for this woman. Direct her to help. Psalm 54:4 “Behold, God is my helper; the Lord is the sustainer of my soul.”

Final prayer for unity

·        Lord, we ask for unity among the churches in Morgan County. We know Your divine plan is best as Your ways are higher. Help us to understand and draw together during challenging times. May Your Word and Your strength be with all the believers in Morgan County. Amen.
