Children and families
Worship and Intercession:
We thank You, LORD, for children are Your plan.
We ask for mercy for our children from in the womb to young adults.
We ask for healing and deliverance for the broken-hearted.
Isaiah 61:1-3: “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord has anointed Me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness,
the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
We declare the gospel will be preached to our children in Jeffco.
We ask for healing for the broken-hearted.
We proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.
We proclaim this is the acceptable year of the LORD in Jeffco.
We ask for the comfort of the Holy Spirit for those mourning.
We ask for peace and provision for every child and family.
We ask for every child and family to have nutritious food.
We ask for food ministries to be stocked up to meet the needs in Jeffco.
We ask for strategies for the food to get to those in need.
We ask for our babies to have the nourishment they need.
We ask for healing in marriages.
We ask for spouses’ hearts to be humbled.
We ask for spouses to come to obedience to James 4:7: “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”
We bind up unbelief that God can heal marriages.
We bind up pride, self-centeredness and selfishness.
We call marriage counselors to speak truth in love.
We call for families into obedience to Colossians 3:12-21: “Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.”
We declare wives submit to husbands.
We declare husbands love their wives.
We declare children obey their parents.
We ask for Saul to Paul experiences for those struggling in their marriages.
We declare all things are possible for those who believe.
We ask for the right counselors to be sent to those struggling in their marriages.
We ask for community to gather around and support families in Jeffco.
We ask for the comforting of hurting hearts.
We call off the onslaught of the enemy against Jeffco families.
We declare the goodness of God over these families.
We declare ministering angels will come according to Hebrews 1:11: “And of the angels He says:
“Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.”
We bind up the demonic influences affecting Jeffco families.
We ask for comfort, hope and help from heaven for our children and families.
We ask for protection for the Jeffco unborn.
We ask for healing and divine order of all systems for the Jeffco unborn.
We declare the unborn are nourished and thrive.
We ask for Holy Spirit conviction of those who agree with abortion, so they will side with the abundant life Jesus came to bring.
We ask for protection for elementary children to feel the presence of God as they come home for summer.
We ask for each child to have a revelation of Jesus.
We ask for harvest workers to reach our children this summer.
We ask that children will be led to healthy forms of play and recreation.
We ask that child predators be interrupted and arrested now by the Holy Spirit.
We declare alternative identities are removed from the minds of our children.
Let this generation be a generation that knows their identity in Christ.
We declare over Jeffco children Romans 12:2: “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
We ask for harvest workers to go to middle-schoolers who struggle with identity and belonging.
We ask that our children would have deep hunger and thirst for the love of God.
We declare nothing apart from God will satisfy our children.
We ask for holy fire to come and set our children on fire so they burn only for God.
We declare the LORD is faithful to His covenant.
We give thanks to the LORD for His patience, grace, love, and faithfulness to complete His work.
We give thanks to the LORD for the Word of God.
We ask for help to become like children in our faith, trust and obedience to God.
Psalm 131: “Lord, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters,
Nor with things too profound for me. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; Like a weaned child is my soul within me. Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forever.”
We thank the LORD for hope in the midst of trial.
We pray for those who desire to have children to be healed and fertile.
